Radon Testing

It’s time to remind you about radon testing.

In the earth is uranium. Uranium releases radon gas, which in many cases is safely diluted into the atmosphere.

Radon gas enters our houses through floor drains, sump pump openings, and through foundation walls or those hairline cracks in the basement floor.  To us, those hairline cracks seem insignificant. To a radon molecule, those cracks are as wide as the Grand Canyon.

What you may not be aware of is radon is in your house as an odorless, tasteless and invisible gas. Also, you may not know that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.

You should and can test your house for radon. The test is free to inexpensive and the following information will advise you where to get your radon test kit in your area.
